Processing Time
All orders are processed and dispatched within 48 hours of being received. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Shipping Methods & Rates
We ship Australia-wide using Australia Post. At checkout, you can choose from:

Standard Shipping — calculated at checkout based on Australia Post's current rates for your delivery location.
Express Post — available where Australia Post provides Express Post coverage for your region, calculated at checkout based on their current rates. If Express Post isn't available for your postcode, this option won't appear at checkout.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically based on your order weight, dimensions, and delivery address.

Free Standard Shipping
Orders totalling $150 (AUD) or more, after any discounts have been applied, qualify for free Standard Shipping, automatically applied at checkout. This offer applies to Standard Shipping only - if you'd like your order sent via Express Post, standard Express Post rates will still apply, even on orders over $150.

Please be aware that any products from our Temperature Sensitive collection will only be shipped via Express Post to ensure they arrive with as little time as possible in transit. Because of this, these products do not qualify for our Free Standard Shipping on orders over $150; however, you will benefit from a 30% reduced Express Shipping rate instead.

Estimated Delivery Times
As a guide only (actual times depend on Australia Post's network and your location):

Standard Shipping: typically 5–10 business days for metro areas, and up to 10–14 business days for regional and remote areas.
Express Post: typically 2–5 business days for eligible postcodes within the Express Post network.

Please allow additional time for deliveries to regional and remote areas.

These are estimates provided by Australia Post and are not guaranteed. Delivery times may be affected by public holidays, peak periods, or circumstances outside our control.

Details

For dogs managing sensitivities to traditional proteins, treating time can come with more thought than most guardians would like. Feed for Thought is built specifically around that need, an air-dried insect protein reward made from premium Australian-grown black soldier fly larvae, offering a genuinely novel protein alternative.

Naturally high in lauric acid, it supports gut health from the inside, while the chitin naturally present in the larvae offers a source of prebiotic support with every piece. Air-drying preserves both nutrients and flavour, which tends to appeal even to more particular eaters. For dogs already on a raw or fresh diet, it also works well as a considered top-up, adding variety without introducing another common allergen into the mix.

Less a treat reached for without thought, and more a considered part of an ongoing gut health and allergy-management ritual.

FAQs

Why choose an insect protein over a traditional meat treat?
Insect protein is a genuinely novel protein source, making it a useful option for dogs with sensitivities or allergies to more common proteins like chicken or beef.

What is chitin, and why does it matter?
Chitin is naturally present in insect exoskeletons and acts as a prebiotic, supporting gut health alongside the protein itself.

Is this suitable for dogs on a raw or fresh food diet?
Yes, it's a well-suited top-up for raw and fresh feeders looking to add variety without introducing a new common allergen.

What's the nutritional breakdown?
This product provides 39% protein and 43% fat, made from 100% premium Australian-grown black soldier fly larvae.
