Shipping Policy — The Intentional Pet

Processing Time
All orders are processed and dispatched within 48 hours of being received. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Shipping Methods & Rates
We ship Australia-wide using Australia Post. At checkout, you can choose from:

Standard Shipping — calculated at checkout based on Australia Post's current rates for your delivery location.
Express Post — available where Australia Post provides Express Post coverage for your region, calculated at checkout based on their current rates. If Express Post isn't available for your postcode, this option won't appear at checkout.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically based on your order weight, dimensions, and delivery address.

Free Standard Shipping
Orders totalling $150 (AUD) or more, after any discounts have been applied, qualify for free Standard Shipping, automatically applied at checkout. This offer applies to Standard Shipping only - if you'd like your order sent via Express Post, standard Express Post rates will still apply, even on orders over $150.

Please be aware that any products from our Temperature Sensitive collection will only be shipped via Express Post to ensure they arrive with as little time as possible in transit. Because of this, these products do not qualify for our Free Standard Shipping on orders over $150; however, you will benefit from a 30% reduced Express Shipping rate instead.

Estimated Delivery Times
As a guide only (actual times depend on Australia Post's network and your location):

Standard Shipping: typically 5–10 business days for metro areas, and up to 10–14 business days for regional and remote areas.
Express Post: typically 2–5 business days for eligible postcodes within the Express Post network.

Please allow additional time for deliveries to regional and remote areas.

These are estimates provided by Australia Post and are not guaranteed. Delivery times may be affected by public holidays, peak periods, or circumstances outside our control.

Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your parcel's journey through Australia Post's tracking system.

PO Boxes & Parcel Lockers
We can ship to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers where supported by Australia Post's service.

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Parcels
If your order hasn't arrived within the estimated timeframe, or has arrived damaged, please contact us at hello@theintentionalpet.com with your order number so we can investigate with Australia Post on your behalf.

Details

Muzzles carry an unfair reputation, often assumed to signal an aggressive dog, when in reality they are a sensible, considered tool for all sorts of everyday situations: a nervous vet visit, a grooming session, to prevent scavenging, or simply a precaution during recovery from an injury.

This well-ventilated design allows for normal panting and even drinking while worn, making it genuinely comfortable for the periods it is actually needed, rather than something that adds distress on top of an already stressful situation.

FAQs

Is a muzzle only for aggressive dogs?
No, muzzles are commonly used for vet visits, grooming, recovery periods, or specific training situations, not only for behavioural concerns.

How do I get my dog comfortable wearing a muzzle?
Introduce it gradually with positive reinforcement well before it is actually needed, so your dog associates it with good experiences rather than only stressful moments.

Can my dog drink water while wearing this?
Yes, the well-ventilated design allows for both panting and drinking while worn.
