Shipping Policy — The Intentional Pet

Processing Time
All orders are processed and dispatched within 48 hours of being received. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Shipping Methods & Rates
We ship Australia-wide using Australia Post. At checkout, you can choose from:

Standard Shipping — calculated at checkout based on Australia Post's current rates for your delivery location.
Express Post — available where Australia Post provides Express Post coverage for your region, calculated at checkout based on their current rates. If Express Post isn't available for your postcode, this option won't appear at checkout.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically based on your order weight, dimensions, and delivery address.

Free Standard Shipping
Orders totalling $150 (AUD) or more, after any discounts have been applied, qualify for free Standard Shipping, automatically applied at checkout. This offer applies to Standard Shipping only - if you'd like your order sent via Express Post, standard Express Post rates will still apply, even on orders over $150.

Please be aware that any products from our Temperature Sensitive collection will only be shipped via Express Post to ensure they arrive with as little time as possible in transit. Because of this, these products do not qualify for our Free Standard Shipping on orders over $150; however, you will benefit from a 30% reduced Express Shipping rate instead.

Estimated Delivery Times
As a guide only (actual times depend on Australia Post's network and your location):

Standard Shipping: typically 5–10 business days for metro areas, and up to 10–14 business days for regional and remote areas.
Express Post: typically 2–5 business days for eligible postcodes within the Express Post network.

Please allow additional time for deliveries to regional and remote areas.

These are estimates provided by Australia Post and are not guaranteed. Delivery times may be affected by public holidays, peak periods, or circumstances outside our control.

Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your parcel's journey through Australia Post's tracking system.

PO Boxes & Parcel Lockers
We can ship to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers where supported by Australia Post's service.

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Parcels
If your order hasn't arrived within the estimated timeframe, or has arrived damaged, please contact us at hello@theintentionalpet.com with your order number so we can investigate with Australia Post on your behalf.

Details

Not every treat needs to be gone in one bite. Mackerel Flips are irregular, naturally textured pieces of dried mackerel tail, made to be worked through slowly rather than snapped up and forgotten.

These treats contain nothing but 100% Australian Mackerel Tail, which means the natural variation in size and shape from piece to piece is simply part of what makes them real food rather than a manufactured shape. Naturally rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, they offer a little extra nourishment alongside the chew itself, a small, considered addition to the quieter moments in your dog's day.

For dogs who love a bit of texture to sink their teeth into, this is a simple, single-ingredient way to bring that ritual into daily life.

FAQs

How chewy are these compared to other fish treats?
Mackerel Flips have more natural texture and chew than a soft treat, making them suited to dogs who enjoy working a treat rather than swallowing it quickly.

Why do the pieces look different from each other?
Because they're made from a single natural ingredient with nothing added, variation in size, shape and colour between pieces is expected.

Are these suitable for smaller dogs?
Yes, though as with any chew, it's worth supervising smaller or more enthusiastic chewers.

Can I give these daily?
Yes, in moderation as part of a balanced diet, alongside your dog's regular feeding.
