Shipping Policy — The Intentional Pet

Processing Time
All orders are processed and dispatched within 48 hours of being received. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Shipping Methods & Rates
We ship Australia-wide using Australia Post. At checkout, you can choose from:

Standard Shipping — calculated at checkout based on Australia Post's current rates for your delivery location.
Express Post — available where Australia Post provides Express Post coverage for your region, calculated at checkout based on their current rates. If Express Post isn't available for your postcode, this option won't appear at checkout.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically based on your order weight, dimensions, and delivery address.

Free Standard Shipping
Orders totalling $150 (AUD) or more, after any discounts have been applied, qualify for free Standard Shipping, automatically applied at checkout. This offer applies to Standard Shipping only - if you'd like your order sent via Express Post, standard Express Post rates will still apply, even on orders over $150.

Please be aware that any products from our Temperature Sensitive collection will only be shipped via Express Post to ensure they arrive with as little time as possible in transit. Because of this, these products do not qualify for our Free Standard Shipping on orders over $150; however, you will benefit from a 30% reduced Express Shipping rate instead.

Estimated Delivery Times
As a guide only (actual times depend on Australia Post's network and your location):

Standard Shipping: typically 5–10 business days for metro areas, and up to 10–14 business days for regional and remote areas.
Express Post: typically 2–5 business days for eligible postcodes within the Express Post network.

Please allow additional time for deliveries to regional and remote areas.

These are estimates provided by Australia Post and are not guaranteed. Delivery times may be affected by public holidays, peak periods, or circumstances outside our control.

Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your parcel's journey through Australia Post's tracking system.

PO Boxes & Parcel Lockers
We can ship to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers where supported by Australia Post's service.

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Parcels
If your order hasn't arrived within the estimated timeframe, or has arrived damaged, please contact us at hello@theintentionalpet.com with your order number so we can investigate with Australia Post on your behalf.

Core Benefits

Made from 100% Australian Mackerel, approximately 13-14cm long
Firm, chewy texture suited to a longer chewing session
Naturally rich in Omega-3 fatty acids
Single ingredient, with no artificial additives or added sugar
A more substantial option within the mackerel range

Details

At roughly 13 to 14cm, Mackerel Ribbons sit a little further along the spectrum from a quick bite-sized treat, offering a firm, chewy texture that gives a dog genuine time to settle into it. Made from 100% Australian Mackerel with nothing else added, they carry the same natural richness as the rest of our mackerel range, just in a longer, more substantial form.

Naturally rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, they're suited to those slower moments in the day when you want to give your dog something to properly work through, rather than a treat that disappears in seconds. As with any single-ingredient natural product, some variation in length, shape and colour between pieces is simply part of the process.

A considered choice for dogs who like a bit more chew time in their day.

FAQs

How does this compare to Mackerel Morsels?
Mackerel Ribbons are a longer, chewier format of the same 100% Australian Mackerel, suited to a longer chewing session, while Morsels are bite-sized and better suited to training.

Are these suitable for smaller dogs?
Given their length, we'd recommend supervising smaller dogs, or breaking pieces into more manageable sizes.

Why does the length vary between pieces?
As a completely natural product, some variation in length, shape and colour is expected.

How should these be stored?
Keep sealed in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
